About the club
Western United Pioneers (WUP) is a nonprofit youth soccer club founded in 1997. We are a soccer family consisting of over 700 members from the ages of 4 to 23 that come from all areas of western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. In addition to the youth academy, WUP is the only organization in New England that provides a pathway into the college and the pre-professional levels on both the male and female sides. This is provided via the New England Mutiny women’s soccer team and Western Mass Pioneers men’s team. This development pyramid consists of a collegiate program (USL Academy), a USL2 (men) and UWS (women) teams.
We are a year-round soccer development program assisting players in reaching their greatest potential. The focus is on educating the complete player with a knowledgeable and caring staff. Western United Pioneers fields both boys and girls teams in each age group from U7 through U19 and beyond. WUP teams compete in premier level leagues, tournaments, showcases, and competitions locally, regionally and nationally.
